Typically students will take a class in the summer that is a more difficult subject for them as that will be the only class you have to focus on, instead of having to balance four other classes. <span style="color:#3366ff;">Summer classes can be taken at Longwood either on campus or online</span>. And for some classes, transfer equivalencies can be found in order to take the class at a community college to then bring the credit back to Longwood. To search for summer classes at Longwood, just log into myLongwood and click Search Classes under your Student Menu. For transfer equivalencies, you can visit this link: <a href="http://www.whylongwood.com/16657.htm">http://www.whylongwood.com/16657.htm</a> <span style="color:#ff0000;">An important note:</span> If you decide you take classes at the community college, you will want to fill out a <span style="color:#ff0000;">Transfer Authorization form</span> that can be found in <span style="color:#ff0000;">Ruffner 104</span>. This form acts as your insurance policy as it says if you take class "X" at the community college, then it will come back to Longwood as credit for class "X". You will need to check with the community college to get instructions on how to register for their summer classes. Please also remember that only credit for the course will transfer to and from schools, <span style="color:#ff0000;">grades do not transfer</span>. If you want to re-take a class to have a grade forgiven, then you will need to repeat the class at Longwood.
